Yao Ming has decided to retire from the NBA according to Yahoo Adrian Wojnarowski. Yao told the league the last two days. Yao is only 30 years, but only played in 486 of 656 possible games in his eight-year NBA career. (He played in 244 games for 246 in its first three years. It's all downhill from there.) He finished with career averages of 19 points, 9 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.

It seems like yesterday when Yao was like the great man who would return to Houston for the NBA Finals.
