Several people were injured Sunday evening when a stage collapsed during a concertof Cheap Trick during the Ottawa Bluesfest, even if the group were said to beunharmed, according to The Associated Press.

49 years old man was in serious condition with injuries to the abdomen, pelvis and legs, another person had a spinal cord injury and a third person had chest pain. At least eight people were treated for minor injuries and anxiety.


Canadian weather services had predicted a thunderstorm in Ottawa on Sunday night, which struck while Cheap Trick was performing on the festival’s main stage.


On the band's facebook page, the members of Cheap Trick wrote: "Everyone is okay and we are lucky to be alive and hope that all fans are too."
