Eagles

One day, after filling their need to get a corner Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie apparently in a trade for Kevin Kolb, the Eagles stunned the NFL by signing Nnamdi Asomugha, coveted by many teams in the league, including Dallas Cowboys.

Terms of the deal were not announced but reports are that Asomugha will receive $60 million over 5 years, and that $25 million of that is guaranteed.

The 30-year-old, 6-foot-2, 210-pound Asomugha has played in 122 career games (99 starts), and accumulated 310 tackles, 11 interceptions, 62 passes defensed and two sacks. He anchored a Raiders defense that ranked second in the NFL behind San Diego by allowing just 189.2 passing yards per game.

"In think we have a great situation right now,'' general manager Howie Roseman said. "It's great to add Nnamdi and DRC and we'll go from there.

(Having three great corners) is a great problem to have. I'm excited about our team and the players we added today.''
