Star Trek: The Original Series


On September 8, 2012 Google released a doodle honoring the 46th anniversary of Star Trek TOS.

Star Trek is an American science fiction television series created by Gene Roddenberry, produced from 1966-67 by Desilu Productions, then by Paramount Television from 1968-69. Star Trek aired on NBC from September 8, 1966 to June 3, 1969. Wikipedia

This Google Doodle Doodle The "Star Trek" tribute provides a nice way to spend some time "on Fridays: a tribute to the interactive television innovative in its 46th anniversary.

"We often talk about how Google would be talking to a computer and get exactly what you want and what kind of commitment, in which the computer knows everything, and that is what we are heading" Germick said, adding: "It seemed like a fun thing to celebrate."
